Produce & Design Market

In autumn and spring our club organises a market for locals to showcase and sell their locally grown produce and hand made products. There are also food stalls and entertainment as well. This is always a very popular event to raise funds for local youth and mental health projects.

Club member and agronomist Rob Sonogan provided expertise to select the right mix of species. Club members did the planting and periodic checking to ensure the seedlings are progressing. This program is for students aged between 15 and 17.  Rotary Youth Exchange students spend up to 12 months living and studying overseas. Every year our club has nominated a local student who has been successful in winning a place in this program and we also host a student each year from overseas amongst our members. Contact us if you would like to apply or if you would be willing to host a student.

Over 1200 runners of all ages completed the run around Riverside Park. With generous sponsors and community participation and support (eg Woorinen CFA provided cooling sprays from their tankers)  over $40,000 was raised and  distributed to the Swan Hill Hospice and Swan Hill Has Heart.
